Families
At JTL, we understand the nature and power of families. We strive to help families build on their strengths, improve and balance relationships, and help each person grow and attain health and improvement in their lives. The younger or older of our client, the more family involvement is generally needed.
Make A ReferralSchool-Based Service
Our School-Based Service is designed to help meet the needs of our community’s children and families. Therapy is provided in a school setting by Masters’ level therapists who have experience working with children and adolescents. Our therapists work with students to address anger, depression, impulsivity, grief, and anxiety. School-Based Therapy may include a combination of individual, group, and family counseling. Our therapists work with teachers, school staff, and community partners to support the students they serve. School-Based Therapy aims to provide youth and their families with improved coping skills, strengthened relationships, and increased resiliency.
Make A ReferralJuvenile Justice System
Studies consistently show that up to 65 or 70 percent of youth in American juvenile detention centers have a diagnose-able mental illness. Further, congressional research concluded that hundreds of youth are incarcerated every day simply because community mental health services are unavailable. Collaboration between the juvenile justice and mental health systems can yield significant benefits for both systems and the community as a whole. This collaboration can result in improved system relationships and serve to build trust between the agencies. That is why JTL has collaborated with the Juvenile Justice System to help improve these statistics.
Make A ReferralFoster Care
More than 50,000+ children and teens are in the Foster Care System statewide. We are committed to partnering with the Foster Care system to provide the highest quality of treatment services that promote success for children, youth, and their placements. We provide supportive services to the Foster parents, the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), and other agencies. As mental health professionals, we can conduct supervised visitations for the families that service.
Make A ReferralPediatrician & Primary Care Physicians
Unlike any time in history, Pediatricians and Primary Care Physicians must treat physical ailments and emotional and mental health problems. That’s where we can help. We provide counseling, treatment plans, and other necessary services that physicians don’t have the time in their busy practice to focus on.
